How do you handle app updates and new OS versions after launch?

We build apps with regular maintenance and OS compatibility built into your planning. After launch, you can choose to keep us as your ongoing partner for updates and new features, or transition to your own team with full documentation and our support during handover. We recommend at least quarterly reviews to catch OS changes early, especially on iOS where Apple updates happen predictably.

What if our requirements change mid-project?

We expect priorities to shift as you learn more about your market. Discovery and early design phases give us room to adapt before code is committed. Once we're building, we log change requests and discuss impact on timeline and scope upfront. No surprises, no secret scope creep.

Do you build native apps or cross-platform frameworks?

We use native development (Swift/Kotlin) when you need the best user experience or deep device access. We use cross-platform frameworks (React Native, Flutter) when speed and cost-efficiency matter more and you want one codebase to maintain. We decide based on your app's requirements, not our tooling preference. We'll tell you the trade-offs honestly.

How do you ensure the app your team can actually maintain?

Clean code and architecture decisions are non-negotiable. During development, your lead engineer sits in on design reviews and code discussions. We document critical decisions in writing, not just in a handover meeting. By launch, your team has already made decisions alongside us, so they own the code mentally and technically. We also leave behind runbooks for common tasks like deploying updates or debugging issues.

Can you integrate our new app with our existing backend systems?

Yes. We scope API integrations during discovery and work with your backend team to agree on contracts early. If your backend isn't ready, we mock it so development stays unblocked. We also advise on API design if you're building your backend in parallel.
