End-to-end software project delivery with scalable architecture and engineering capacity built for fast-growing companies. From discovery through launch and ongoing support.
Scaleups face a unique problem: you need software built fast, but you also need it built right. A failed project or poor architecture early on compounds as you grow. Our approach starts with deep discovery to map your current state, competitive position, and growth trajectory. We own the end-to-end delivery chain: scoping with your product and operations teams, designing for the scale you'll reach in 18-24 months, building incrementally with clear sprint delivery, and running QA that catches issues before they reach customers. Once live, we stay involved through launch support and ongoing maintenance, so you're not left scrambling when something breaks or you need to scale further.

Scaling your team without scaling your payroll
Hiring engineers is slow and expensive. Even with a tight labour market, it takes 2-3 months to recruit, onboard, and get someone productive. Our model gives you immediate capacity: experienced developers and architects embedded into your workflow from day one. You pay for the hours you use, not for bench time or training overhead. For scaleups growing from 15 to 50 people, this is often cheaper and faster than hiring in-house, and it lets your internal team focus on product strategy and team building rather than recruitment and management. Our teams in the UK, Spain, and Ukraine provide overlap with your working hours, so handovers and blocking dependencies stay minimal.
Many scaleups ship an MVP, then hit a wall when they try to scale: the codebase can't handle the load, adding new features gets slower, or the database groans under production traffic. We design for the future from the start. That means modular architecture, proper monitoring and logging, scalable databases, and infrastructure that can grow. You might not need it all on day one, but it's there and doesn't cost you in performance or complexity. As you grow from £1M to £10M ARR, your software grows with you. You avoid the expensive rewrite that kills momentum and burns engineering time.

Architecture that doesn't need rebuilding
WHAT YOU GET
Built around how your business works
Full project ownership from discovery and scoping through build, QA, launch and post-launch support
Scalable architecture designed to grow with your product without rearchitecting as you scale
Engineering capacity on demand: add headcount without hiring overhead or onboarding delays
UK-based leadership with Spain and Ukraine delivery teams for timezone coverage and nearshore cost efficiency
Dedicated technical partnership approach: we understand your business problem before proposing solutions
Evolve ran a series of workshops with key business stakeholders to understand the business challenge we were facing and to help us define the right solution. The team then held my hand every step of the way in developing our Discount and Rebate Management Solution, which went live in January across 7 countries.

ABOUT US
Read our story
Founded in 2007 as a dedicated IT consultancy, Evolved Ideas has grown into a team of over 100 professionals, with a head office in Leicester and development hubs in Eastern Europe and Spain.
Scaleups across the UK face intense pressure to move fast while building foundations that won't crumble at scale. Hiring local engineering talent is expensive and slow, especially outside London. Many scaleups have a small founding tech team stretched thin across product decisions, technical strategy, and code reviews. Our model addresses this directly: we provide experienced project leadership and engineering capacity without the fixed cost of payroll. Working with teams across the UK, Spain, and Ukraine also means we can cover working hours overlap, so your team isn't waiting for asynchronous updates or dealing with overnight delays on blocking decisions. For scaleups in growth phase (£1-10M ARR), this arrangement often costs less than hiring two mid-level engineers and removes the recruitment and onboarding burden entirely.
Our process has guided startups, scaleups and enterprises from concept to reality, and continues after launch.

OUR SOLUTIONS
We build solutions for your business challenges
Technology is more than just code — it's a tool for solving real business challenges. Whichever route fits your stage, the same team delivers it.
Bespoke Software
With your long-term goals in mind, we help you choose the technology you need and develop a tech roadmap based on industry trends, emerging tech and your business requirements.
We have years of experience building proof of concepts and MVPs. We will take you from testing viability to building an MVP to validate your hypotheses.
Tier 1 customer support, Tier 2 technical support and Tier 3 development support for applications and legacy software, delivered by our engineering teams.
If you need to build an IT team from zero or need staff augmentation, we can build the team you need — developers, designers, analysts and even fractional CTOs.
We own discovery workshops with your stakeholders to define the problem, technical scoping to map effort and dependencies, design and UX work, development in 2-week sprints with demos, QA and testing before launch, deployment support, and typically 4-6 weeks of post-launch support to monitor, fix issues, and hand over documentation. The scope depends on your project, but the point is you have one partner accountable for the outcome, not juggling multiple vendors or contractors.
How do you handle scope changes as we develop?
Scope changes happen, especially early in a scaleup. We build projects with clear sprint cycles and regular demos so you see progress and can adjust course early, before large amounts of work are locked in. If a major change is needed, we replan with you, not just absorb it and blow your timeline. We're transparent about trade-offs: scope, timeline, or resources. Most changes fit into active sprints without derailing the schedule.
How do you ensure the team integrates with our engineering culture?
We don't parachute developers in and hand you code. Your tech lead or CTO works closely with our team lead from day one. We adopt your coding standards, attend your stand-ups, use your tools and workflows, and treat ourselves as an extension of your team, not a vendor. We also invest in knowledge transfer, so critical work isn't locked inside our heads. By the time launch support ends, your team can maintain and evolve the system independently.
What happens if we need to pivot or scale faster than planned?
Scaleup priorities shift. Our model is built for that. If you need to launch sooner, we can increase team size and overlap working hours to compress the timeline. If you need to pivot the product or defer features, we replan without penalty. The fixed-scope, fixed-price model is the enemy of scaleups. We work with you on realistic timelines and capacity, then flex as your business does.
Do you handle infrastructure and DevOps as part of the project?
Yes. We set up and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and backups as part of delivery. We choose the stack based on your scale projections and operational needs, not just what's fashionable. This means you're not left with a perfectly built app deployed on a fragile foundation. We also hand over infrastructure documentation and IaC code so your team can manage it once we move to support mode.
How is pricing structured for managed project delivery?
We typically work on a time-and-materials basis with a fixed team size and forecast. That means you know your monthly cost and have predictable burn, which matters for scaleup budgeting. We agree on team composition (e.g., 2 senior developers, 1 architect, 1 QA engineer), sprint length, and a rough completion target. If the project takes longer, we discuss why and adjust plan or scope, rather than surprise invoices. We're not the cheapest option, but we're predictable and focused on your outcome, not billable hours.
