Build a market-testable MVP in Manchester with Evolved Ideas. We turn product ideas into validated prototypes with a phased roadmap to full platform, working with startup founders to de-risk early-stage product development.
An MVP is not a scaled product. It is a hypothesis engine. You build the smallest version of your product that lets real users prove or disprove your core assumption. Evolved Ideas treats MVP development as a structured discovery process, not a race to feature completeness. We work with you to define what "testable" means for your business: maybe it is 50 users on a waitlist validating demand, or a closed beta proving unit economics. We map the full roadmap upfront so you see exactly which features go into MVP, which into Phase 2, and how they connect to your long-term vision. This clarity cuts scope creep and lets you spend your runway on learning, not guessing.
Many startups rush into building without testing their riskiest assumptions first. We spend the first 1-2 weeks on discovery: interviews with your target users, competitive analysis, and technical feasibility checks. Only then do we spec the MVP. This approach saves money and time because you are not building features nobody wants. You get a clear product requirements document that your team and investors can align on, plus a realistic timeline and cost estimate. If your assumption is wrong, you learn it cheaply in discovery, not after spending months in development.

Manchester as Your MVP Launch Pad
Manchester's tech community is energetic and collaborative. Many startup founders, product teams, and early-stage investors are based here or visit regularly. We have built relationships across the city and can help you connect with potential users, advisors, and follow-on funding contacts. Your MVP development is not just coding; it is part of your go-to-market story. We position you to test and learn in a market where many founders are doing the same thing, so you get peer feedback, co-working energy, and a local network effect.
WHAT YOU GET
Built around how your business works
01Product discovery first: we validate your core assumptions before writing code, reducing waste and pivot risk.
02Phased delivery roadmap: MVP, then planned scaling phases, so you hit each milestone with confidence.
03Founders who get it: our team has built startups, so we understand the pressure to ship fast and learn faster.
04Nearshore flexibility: UK, Spain, and Ukraine team structure lets us scale capacity as your startup grows.
05Support beyond launch: we stay involved post-MVP to help you interpret user feedback and plan the next phase.
Working with Evolved Ideas has been the best experience I've ever had with a technology company. Everything that's done is done carefully. I like how my project team treats my product. We have people using our platform and getting value from it now, which wouldn't be possible without Evolved Ideas.

CASE STUDIES
How we've transformed enterprises, SMEs and startups
Founded in 2007 as a dedicated IT consultancy, Evolved Ideas has grown into a team of over 100 professionals, with a head office in Leicester and development hubs in Eastern Europe and Spain.
Manchester hosts one of the UK's fastest-growing digital and tech scenes outside London, making it an ideal base for MVP validation. Startup founders testing product-market fit benefit from proximity to active investor networks, accelerators, and a pool of technical talent. Evolved Ideas' mixed UK-nearshore model means you get hands-on, timezone-aligned collaboration for discovery and sprints, plus cost-flexible capacity from Spain and Ukraine as your MVP scales post-launch. This matters because early-stage runway is finite: you need partners who understand founder constraints and can adapt team size as you learn.
Our process has guided startups, scaleups and enterprises from concept to reality, and continues after launch.
01
Discovery
A free 30-minute consultation followed by a stakeholder workshop, where we listen to your challenges, validate assumptions and build an outside-in view of your situation.
02
Plan & design
We scope the project, define milestones and deliverables, then research your market, wireframe the UX and prototype the UI so the direction is agreed before a line of code.
03
Build
We assemble your dedicated team, establish reporting and work in iterative Scrum sprints, delivering a working MVP or proof of concept you can test with real users.
04
Launch & support
We ship, sign off, and keep your product current through our support service or a permanent extended team as your business evolves.
Technology is more than just code — it's a tool for solving real business challenges. Whichever route fits your stage, the same team delivers it.
Bespoke Software
With your long-term goals in mind, we help you choose the technology you need and develop a tech roadmap based on industry trends, emerging tech and your business requirements.
We have years of experience building proof of concepts and MVPs. We will take you from testing viability to building an MVP to validate your hypotheses.
Tier 1 customer support, Tier 2 technical support and Tier 3 development support for applications and legacy software, delivered by our engineering teams.
If you need to build an IT team from zero or need staff augmentation, we can build the team you need — developers, designers, analysts and even fractional CTOs.
How do we decide what goes into the MVP and what gets pushed to Phase 2?
During product discovery, we map every feature and user story into three buckets: must-have (core assumption), nice-to-have (increases stickiness), and future (nice-to-have but not for MVP). Must-haves are usually 30-50% of what you imagine now. We weight them by how much they reduce your biggest risk (demand, unit economics, technical feasibility, or user retention). You make the final call, but we give you data. A roadmap document then shows Phase 1 (MVP), Phase 2 (scale to X users), Phase 3 (add Y feature), so you and your investors see the full journey.
What does product discovery cost and how long does it take?
Discovery typically takes 2-4 weeks and costs between 15-25% of your MVP budget. It includes user interviews, competitive research, technical sketches, and a spec document. Some founders have already validated demand before they call us, so discovery is shorter. Others are pre-product-market-fit and need deeper work. We scope it with you on the first call so there are no surprises. The cost feels high upfront but saves 2-3x that in rework and feature bloat during development.
Can you help us understand our metrics after launch?
Yes. We stay involved post-MVP to help you interpret what users are doing. We set up basic tracking (sign-ups, activation, retention, feature usage) during development, not after. Once users are live, we meet weekly to review the data and discuss what it means for your next roadmap phase. Do users love the core feature but ignore everything else? Are they using it as you expected? These insights shape Phase 2, so you are building on truth, not guesses.
What if our MVP flops? Can we pivot quickly?
A good MVP is built to pivot. The code is not precious; the learning is. We use modular architecture so major pivots do not require a full rewrite. If your assumption was wrong and you need to test a different one, we can spin a new MVP variant in weeks, not months. Some of the best founders we know pivoted their MVP once or twice before finding product-market-fit. The system should support that, not penalize it.
How does your nearshore model work for startup projects?
We base discovery, sprints, and early design work in the UK so you have face-time and timezone alignment when you need to make decisions fast. Once MVP scope is locked, some coding work moves to Spain or Ukraine at lower cost, but your UK lead stays involved and all code is reviewed here. You get the best of both: founder responsiveness plus flexible capacity. As your startup scales past MVP, you can add a dedicated extended team overseas if you want to accelerate without hiring full-time in Manchester.
What happens if we run out of runway before we hit product-market fit?
That is a real risk and we are honest about it. Our job is to maximize learning per pound spent, so you can make informed decisions about runway extension, pivot, or fundraising. If funding falls through mid-MVP, we can scale back scope, release a smaller Phase 1, or pause and resume when capital arrives. We have worked with founders through all three scenarios. Transparency about burn rate and progress is built into our sprints so you can course-correct early.
