End-to-end project ownership for managed software development in London. From discovery and scoping through UX, build, QA, launch and ongoing support. Strategic partner for SME MDs, product directors, and operations leaders.
Managed project delivery begins with a proper discovery phase. We spend time understanding your business problem, constraints, and user needs before proposing a solution. That understanding stays consistent through design, build, QA, and launch. No handoff to a support team that doesn't know what was decided and why. The same accountability runs through the entire timeline. You have a clear owner for the project, not a series of vendors or team rotations. This continuity reduces rework, catches problems early, and keeps the project aligned with your original goals.
Most project delays happen because requirements weren't clear at the start. We invest in structured discovery conversations with your stakeholders (product, operations, technical leaders). We document assumptions, constraints, and success criteria. We challenge vague requirements and flag technical risks before they become expensive. A solid scope document then becomes your project contract and roadmap. When changes arise mid-project (and they do), we evaluate impact openly and adjust timeline or scope together. You avoid surprises at launch because you've already made the hard decisions upfront.

Discovery and Scoping That Protects Your Timeline

Why Nearshore Delivery Matters for London Projects
London has intense competition for senior talent and fast-moving demands from scaleups and fintechs. Our delivery model uses UK leadership, Spanish and Ukrainian engineering teams across overlapping timezones. You get continuity within UK business hours, technical depth you can't hire cheaply in London alone, and cost efficiency without offshoring to distant markets. For managed projects, this means your scoping and stakeholder interviews stay synchronous with your team, while build and QA work across multiple time zones without communication gaps.
WHAT YOU GET
Built around how your business works
01Discovery, design, build, QA, and launch handled as a single project, not as separate vendor handoffs
02Ongoing support included post-launch, so your software doesn't stall after go-live
03Clear scoping upfront reduces scope creep and timeline surprises during development
04Your project team works across UK, Spain, and Ukraine for timezone coverage and stability
05Dedicated project ownership means one point of contact, not a rotating cast of managers
Working with Evolved Ideas has been the best experience I've ever had with a technology company. Everything that's done is done carefully. I like how my project team treats my product. We have people using our platform and getting value from it now, which wouldn't be possible without Evolved Ideas.

CASE STUDIES
How we've transformed enterprises, SMEs and startups
Founded in 2007 as a dedicated IT consultancy, Evolved Ideas has grown into a team of over 100 professionals, with a head office in Leicester and development hubs in Eastern Europe and Spain.
London concentrates the UK's fastest-scaling fintechs, enterprise buyers, and product-focused SMEs, many of whom grew quickly and now face software delivery bottlenecks. SME MDs and operations directors here often struggle to hire stable technical leadership or dedicated project managers while keeping costs predictable. Managed project delivery works well in this context because it replaces the need for full internal teams or a series of transactional agencies. Your project has a single owner, clear milestones, and post-launch support, allowing you to focus on product and business growth instead of managing vendors.
Our process has guided startups, scaleups and enterprises from concept to reality, and continues after launch.
01
Discovery
A free 30-minute consultation followed by a stakeholder workshop, where we listen to your challenges, validate assumptions and build an outside-in view of your situation.
02
Plan & design
We scope the project, define milestones and deliverables, then research your market, wireframe the UX and prototype the UI so the direction is agreed before a line of code.
03
Build
We assemble your dedicated team, establish reporting and work in iterative Scrum sprints, delivering a working MVP or proof of concept you can test with real users.
04
Launch & support
We ship, sign off, and keep your product current through our support service or a permanent extended team as your business evolves.
Technology is more than just code — it's a tool for solving real business challenges. Whichever route fits your stage, the same team delivers it.
Bespoke Software
With your long-term goals in mind, we help you choose the technology you need and develop a tech roadmap based on industry trends, emerging tech and your business requirements.
We have years of experience building proof of concepts and MVPs. We will take you from testing viability to building an MVP to validate your hypotheses.
Tier 1 customer support, Tier 2 technical support and Tier 3 development support for applications and legacy software, delivered by our engineering teams.
If you need to build an IT team from zero or need staff augmentation, we can build the team you need — developers, designers, analysts and even fractional CTOs.
How do you prevent scope creep in a managed project?
We document the scope clearly in a signed project brief before work starts. Scope includes what is in, what is explicitly out, and which areas are marked as future phases. During delivery, we track requests and evaluate each one for impact on timeline and budget. We don't say no to new ideas, but we make the trade-off visible: add feature X, and you either extend the timeline, reduce another feature, or increase budget. Stakeholders make the choice, not us. This keeps the project grounded in reality.
What does support look like after the project launches?
Post-launch support is part of managed project delivery. We monitor the software during the first week, address any critical bugs or environment issues, and help your team with handoff training. After that handoff period, we offer a retainer-based support contract where you can request fixes, security updates, and minor features without re-scoping a new project each time. Some clients keep us on retainer for ongoing maintenance and feature releases. Others hand off to their internal team. We support both paths.
How long does a typical managed project take?
Timeline depends on scope size, complexity, and team size. A small MVP (3-4 key features) typically runs 3-4 months with a full-time team. A mid-market product with multiple workflows and integrations often takes 5-7 months. Larger transformations or legacy modernisations can extend to 9-12 months. What matters more than the calendar date is honest estimation upfront. We scope the work with you, propose a realistic timeline, and build in contingency for unknowns. That becomes your contract baseline.
Do you handle integrations with our existing systems?
Yes. Integrations with existing APIs, databases, or platforms are part of discovery and scoping. We assess what's already in place, identify integration points, and cost the work. Common integrations include payment gateways, CRM systems, accounting software, or legacy data sources. We've worked across UK and European enterprise systems and can usually build connectors or adapters as needed. If integration is complex or risky, we flag it early and may propose a phased rollout or parallel testing.
How do you handle changes to requirements mid-project?
Changes happen. We have a formal change request process. You describe the change, we estimate the impact on timeline and budget, you decide whether to proceed, and we update the project plan if approved. Small changes (fixing wording, tweaking a field) we often absorb. Larger changes (new workflow, additional integration, platform shift) get logged and estimated. This way, you're not surprised at the end by an overrun, and we're not held accountable for scope that moved.
Who is accountable if something goes wrong in development?
You have a named project owner at Evolved Ideas who is accountable for delivery quality, timeline, and communication. They own the QA process, escalation decisions, and stakeholder updates. If a bug reaches production, they own the response plan. If a technical risk materializes, they own bringing it to you early. This accountability runs through the entire project from scoping to launch. You're not navigating between multiple team members or vendors wondering who owns the decision.
